Games: PCUF 2018

Second Private Chartered University Forum (PCUF) games were initiated by IQRA National University (INU), in which seven private universities of Peshawar participated. It was scheduled from 15 to 19 November, 2018.

Under this platform the following 7 universities are competing with each other in different games. Iqra National University, City University, Sarhad University, Northern University, Qurtuba University and Abasyn University said Ihsan-Ul-Milk, convener Sports Society, INU.

Games list included 14 different games such as cricket, volleyball, badminton , basketball, football, tennis, carom, chess, table tennis, swimming etc for students (male/female) and faculty as well.

The opening ceremony took place on 13 November, 2018 at INU. Chief guest was minister of sports tourism and youth affairs, Atif Khan. All the chancellors of participating universities also joined the inaugural event.

Atif Khan senior minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while addressing the audience in the inaugural of PCUF said that cocurricular activities are also important for the students beside the realm of normal curriculum. He further said that government of Tehreek- E-Insaf has sports and tourism in their priorities.

President of PCUF and Chancellor of Iqra National University, Obaid-Ur-Rehman said that games help students to put forth their obscure talents. He added that it is a moment of pride for INU to host this event for the second time. At the end of the ceremony the games were officially led up by lighting flambeau. Ihsan-Ul-Mulk , convener INU Sports Society said “The most gold

medals are won by INU and SUIT i-e 9 and 7 respectively.
